What is LazyTrips?

LazyTrips is a free online trip planning tool that allows you to seamlessly plan your perfect holiday. With the LazyTrips planner you can discover destinations, find things to do and book hotels all in one place. The interactive planner also lets you adjust dates, add custom activities and map out your entire trip. So what are you waiting for? Start discovering now.

What destinations does LazyTrips cover?

LazyTrips currently covers all major European destinations, with new places being added every day. Whether you want to soak up the sun on the Amalfi coast or sip sangria in Barcelona, LazyTrips will help you plan the perfect holiday.

I need some inspiration, can LazyTrips help?

Of course! You can discover road trips and city breaks on our homepage, check out our blog for travel tips and browse our destinations page for exciting new travel ideas.

How can I edit my trip?

Go to the “My trips” page to see all your planned trips and select the one you want to edit. Use the “Edit trip” button to change your number of nights and arrange the order of the cities that you will visit. Use the “Add city” button to add more destinations to your trip. If you click on the city, you can add things to do while you’re there or delete places that you no longer want to visit. Please note that once you’ve booked a trip, you won’t be able to change the dates or add places.

I want to add a city to my trip, but it’s not listed?

Please contact us at to add a destination that’s not yet on the site. We are continually adding new cities and places and we’d love to hear from you!

How do I add a custom activity?

Whether you want to go for a bike ride, take a walk in a park, or just spend some downtime in a local café, LazyTrips makes it easy to add custom activities to your trip. Just go to your planner, click on the city of choice and click the “Add plan” button. Select the “Add custom place” option to create your own activity, and give it a name and an icon to save it. This will add the activity to your list of things to do. You’re good to go!

I’ve found a cool experience and I want to add it to my trip, but it’s not listed as an option?

We’re always keen to hear about new experiences and activities, so get in touch with us at and we’ll add it to the site ASAP. In the meantime, you can include it in your trip as a custom activity by selecting the “Add custom place” option in your planner.

Do I need to create an account to use LazyTrips?

You can explore LazyTrips and start planning your next trip whenever you want, but we do recommend creating an account so you can save your plans and access them later. Creating an account also enables you to start booking hotels immediately.

I’ve forgotten my password?

Don’t worry - you can request to reset your password on the login page and a reset link will be sent to your account email address.


What payment methods does LazyTrips accept?

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards

When do I get charged for my hotel booking?

You will be charged for the hotel at the point of booking. You will be charged in British Pounds.

I can’t find my booking confirmation email, what shall I do?

Don’t worry - you can access your booking confirmation details in your travel planner

Do I need to pay a hotel tax?

Some countries will charge you a hotel tax for the duration of your stay. This charge will be in addition to the payment made to LazyTrips, and you will be liable to pay this upon check-out. What documents do I need to check in?

All hotels require government issued ID to check in. This is usually your passport. A copy of your booking confirmation is generally not required, but you may like to bring it along.

I have been charged for my booking, but received an email stating there was an error in the reservation?

We apologise for the inconvenience. We try and operate in real time, but occasionally the room in question may get booked up by another party while you are making your payment. We understand that this can be annoying! Usually if this happens, the funds will not leave your bank account. If they do, the payment will be reversed immediately and should be back in your bank account within 5 working days.

Changing my Booking

How do I change my hotel booking?

To make changes to your hotel booking, please call us on +44 (0)203 950 7337 and we will be happy to help. Please note that changes are only permitted on refundable hotel rooms. For more information on your booking details, please review the hotel changes and cancellation policy in your booking confirmation email.

Will you charge additional fees for changes made to my hotel room booking?

LazyTrips will not charge you for making changes to your booking. However, the hotel might charge additional fees for the changes. Please review the hotel changes and cancellation policy in your booking confirmation email.

I’ve booked a non-refundable hotel room but need to change my booking?

Unfortunately no changes can be made to non-refundable hotel room bookings.


I need to cancel my hotel booking; will I get a refund?

Your initial hotel booking terms will determine whether you are entitled to a refund on a cancelled hotel booking. Generally, for all “refundable” bookings you will get your money back provided the booking is cancelled within the specified time frame. Unfortunately, for “non-refundable” bookings you will not be entitled to a refund upon cancellation. Please read the cancellation policy provided with your original hotel booking to confirm the precise terms surrounding your cancellation.

Will I be charged a fee if I cancel my booking?

Although LazyTrips will not charge a fee for processing a cancellation, some hotels might. Generally, if your booking has passed its free cancellation period or is non-refundable, you will be charged a small fee for cancelling. Please read the cancellation policy provided with your original hotel booking to confirm the precise terms surrounding your cancellation.

How do I cancel my hotel booking?

How do I know if my booking has been cancelled?

We will send you an email to confirm that your booking has been cancelled. Please note that this can occasionally end up in your junk/spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please call us on +44 (0)203 950 7337.
