The city of Paphos on the southeastern coast of Cyprus has attracted visitors to its pebbly coastline for thousands of years. Famed as the mythical birthplace of the Aphrodite, Paphos is home to an abundance of monuments and ruins dedicated to the Greek goddess. Petra tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite's Rock, is a majestic sea stack that juts out into the Mediterranean along the main road from Paphos to Limassol. And the Adonis Baths waterfall in Kili Paphos is the site where Aphrodite and Adonis had many children, according to legend.

Whether you're after history, sunshine or a bit of both, you'll feel right at home in this magical city. Did we mention the fresh seafood and meze dishes are positively to die for?
