Aspiring scientist or general culture fiend, this is the place for you. Located in the oldest passenger railway station, the atmosphere here is second to none. And it's completely free. Some activities cost a little fee but not to worry, there is plenty of free things to do for all involved. Throughout the year there are exhibitions on which the website update you on regularly. This museum is a credit to Manchester and makes for the perfect family day out.
