Ashmolean Museum

England > Oxford

Founded in 1683, the Ashmolean Museum tells a story of civilisation from Egyptian mummies to present day modern art.  Containing very rare and incredibly priceless works, the museum too hosts a lot of exhibitions so be sure to look up their website beforehand. There is much to do and the museum entertains the whole family. You have no excuse to miss this gem as it's free entry and has a cafe located inside for you to stop for that coffee break when you're getting lost in all the displays.
