Roughly translated as ‘the waterfall of the Gods,’ Goðafoss is quite the sight to behold. It sits just outside Husavik in the northeastern region of Iceland, in an area called the Diamond Circle.
Goðafoss is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the country, with its deep blue rushing water surrounded by craggy moss-covered cliffs.
You can reach this natural phenomenon via the main ring road 1. It’s an easy 30-minute drive south from Husavik or 45 minutes from Akureyri.
