Located next to the Villa Comunale park, this charming 14th-century church is a peaceful oasis in the centre of Sorrento. It may appear quite modern from the outside with its pristine white stucco facade, but once you step its rich history becomes apparent.
There are three main parts of this site: the church, the monastery and the cloister. During the summer, the cloister sometimes hosts concerts and musical events within its vine-covered walls, making for quite a romantic setting. Check with the tourist office in town for the schedule of events.
