Naturalis Museum

Also known as the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre, this place is the Netherland's very own Natural History Museum.

Containing approximately 37 million specimens, and a research centre, the museum is full of rich facts, and gorgeous fossils.

Note: Parts of the Museum are currently closed due to renovation and the only exhibition open is 'POISON!' - POISON involves a Naturalis researcher and poison expert dr. Freek Vonk taking you into the world of poison. You get acquainted with all kinds of live animals: snakes, spiders, frogs. Plants and minerals also. dr. Freek and his fellow researchers will teach you more about the usefulness and necessity of research into poison through videos.
