Taking both routes to Miami, you'll find that southern Florida's subtropical climate is most pleasant from November to April, with steady and dry weather conditions and comfortable temperatures.
Winter is a great time to visit Florida, with cooler temperatures and plenty to do. Temperatures along both routes are around 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit at the start but can get into the 80s in Florida.
In addition to New Year, there are plenty of festivals and events in winter. Don't miss the Gasparilla Pirate Festival in February. On the Atlantic Coast Route, you can experience the Nights of Lights in St Augustine in January and at your destination, don't miss the famous Art Deco Weekend in January.
